This project depicts a journey taken when reading books. The work is made out of torn pages from a book and paintings, which are collaged together to illustrate a two and three dimensional scene. The journey starts at the library in a paper boat made of the words from a book. The boats travel along a river which flows past a variety of places one might read about in stories. Although words are just black letters on a flat white page, the stories they tell are vibrant and colorful like the illustrations in this artwork.
